A small resort · Pantai Tengah, Langkawi
Quiet Lagoon is a family-run retreat on Langkawi's west coast — barefoot, unhurried, and ten minutes from Pantai Cenang. Breakfast and airport transfers are always included.

Direct rate, always
Book with us and you get the lowest rate, a free airport pickup and a late checkout when the room allows.

Why stay here
We kept the resort to eighteen rooms so the team knows your name by the second morning. Everything below is included in the rate, not sold back to you at the desk.

Pantai Tengah keeps the calm water and the sunsets but loses the jet-skis and the crowds. Cenang's night market, bars and duty-free are a short taxi away when you want them.
A driver meets every arriving guest at Langkawi International — no forms, no surcharge for late flights.
Fruit from the Kuah market, eggs and roti to order, kopi and teh tarik. Served on the verandah, no rush.
The whole kitchen is halal-certified, and the team is glad to talk through allergies and children's portions.
Interconnecting rooms, cots, a shallow pool step and a sandpit under the casuarinas. Under-sixes stay free.
We book the good boatmen — sunrise island-hopping, Kilim geopark, or a snorkel straight off our jetty.
Where you'll sleep
From a garden studio for two to a two-bedroom beach house, every room is cross-ventilated, shuttered against the afternoon sun, and a short barefoot walk from the water.

For two
A cross-ventilated room opening onto the frangipani garden, a short barefoot walk from the pool and the beach path.

For two
Ground-floor room with a shaded verandah that looks across the lily pond to the pool and the casuarina line beyond.

For two, upstairs
An upper-floor room with a broad west-facing balcony — the sunset is delivered to your railing every evening at about seven.

The table
The kitchen is halal-certified and cooks what the Kuah market had that morning. Breakfast is included and runs long; lunch is a short list of Malay and Nyonya plates; dinner is a set table, four courses, announced on a chalkboard by the bar.
Tell us about allergies, children's portions or a birthday when you book, and the cook will come out and talk it through. Guests in the Beach House can have any meal brought over and laid on their own verandah.
Our story
Quiet Lagoon began as a single beach house that the Rahman family built on a strip of Pantai Tengah in the early 1990s, back when this end of the coast was still mostly casuarinas and fishing boats.
Friends came to stay, then friends of friends, and by 2006 there were eighteen rooms, a kitchen that fed everyone breakfast, and a decision to keep it exactly that size. We have turned down every offer to add a wing since.
It is still a family operation. Faridah runs the front desk and remembers every returning guest; her son Amir looks after the boats and the garden; the kitchen has had the same head cook for eleven years. Nobody here wears a name badge.

The place
The pool at first light, the reef a short paddle out, the long timber verandah where breakfast runs until eleven. This is roughly the order you'll meet the place in.

Guest book
We keep a real guest book on the front desk. These are lifted from it, with permission — lightly tidied, names as they signed them.
We came for three nights and rebooked for six on the second morning. It is small enough that by day two the kitchen knew how we take our coffee and the boatman knew our kids' names.
Aisyah & DanialPetaling Jaya · stayed in the Frangipani SuiteI have stayed in a lot of Langkawi resorts for work. This is the first one where I actually slept, read a whole book, and left without a single line item I did not recognise on the bill.
Marcus TanSingapore · Sea-View BalconyThree generations of us in the Beach House for a week. The gate straight onto the sand meant the grandchildren could run and my mother could still see them from her chair on the verandah.
Priya NairGeorge Town, Penang · The Beach HouseThe letter
Four times a year we write a short letter — quiet weeks worth booking, what the kitchen is cooking, the odd storm story. No offers you have seen everywhere else, no more than four emails a year.
We keep the list to ourselves and you can leave from any letter in one click.
Before you book
Yes — a return transfer from Langkawi International Airport is included in every rate, for every guest on the booking. Send us your flight numbers a day or two ahead and a driver will be waiting with a name board. Late or changed flights are not a problem and cost nothing extra.
Your dates
Tell us roughly when, and we will tell you what is open and what it costs — no deposit to ask, no booking engine to fight.
